As you park, you will enter the main building. There you will meet greeters who will not only welcome you, but also help you with any directions that you need. As you enter this building from the main parking lot, the Sanctuary is before you. To your left are the adult education classrooms and offices. To your right is the children’s wing, with nursery for ages 0 - 3 and classrooms for children ages 2 - 5.
There is a staircase on your right, just past the children’s wing, which leads to more classrooms downstairs for ages 6 and up, as well as the fellowship hall, choir room and youth group.
As you enter Hixson Presbyterian Church, you will be given a bulletin. The bulletin lists the Order of Worship, as well as the texts for the songs we will sing that morning. Our worship service includes both traditional and contemporary music. The sermon will be based on a biblical text with thorough explanation of the text and a contemporary application. Dress varies from business casual to coat and tie.
Children under the age of 4 are taken to the nursery before the service begins. Pre-K children are dismissed to children’s church during the anthem.
