Flocks
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” Galatians 6:2
What are Flocks?
They are a practical way to:
• communicate information quickly to the whole congregation.
• organize ministry and help for those who are hurting or have needs within the church body (i.e. birth, illness, death, relocation, etc.).
• call the body of Christ to prayer for the special needs within the church.
• provide a context for shepherding relationships to take place between elders and members.
Every church member is placed in a flock (visitors are invited to participate in the church’s flocks and will be placed in a flock upon request). This is our way of making sure that everyone is connected and it helps us to provide necessary pastoral care. Each flock is overseen by an Elder of the church. If you have a need of any kind, you are encouraged to contact your flock’s Elder who will inform the pastors and with the help of the Flock Communicators, arrange for any practical help that you may need (i.e. meals in time of hospitalization, extra help for a move, etc.).
If you have questions about flocks or are a visitor who would like to be placed in a flock, please contact Scott Wells through the church office at 875-0616.
