Building His Kingdom, Reaching His Kids

Children’s Church is a unique opportunity for us to teach the elements of worship to our preschoolers. Our goal is to prepare them to worship with their families and be involved with some knowledge of the aspects of our worship at HPC. We will have monthly units to teach the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and WHY. It will continue as a ‘split-service’ ministry with the 4 years olds leaving the worship service at a designated time.

All elements of our Children’s Ministry vision are in place:

• The children will learn hymns and praise songs each week and their meanings.
• The teaching time will consist of a story, resources to visualize each lesson and a practical application or ‘hands-on’ activity.
• Children’s Church will be staffed by volunteers, ministry leaders, elders, deacons, and parents.
• During the month of December, we will study and learn about Advent.
• Important elements of our worship are taught and why we do what we do in worship.
