All Aboard for the “Good News Cruise” VBS on June 9 – 13, 2008. We are so excited to invite your children to join us! The planning and details are already in the works for a week filled with Good News truths, Bible teaching, music, crafts, games, memory work, snacks and fun!

Here are some details for “Good News Cruise” VBS

1) Dates: June 9-13, 2008

Time: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Who: Age 3 (by Jan. 1, 2008) through entering 6th grade

Cost: No cost this year

Where: Hixson Presbyterian Church, 1005 Gadd Road, 875-0616

Registration Deadline: June 1^st, 2008

2) Friday night, June 13^th is our Sailboat Regatta. Please plan to attend at 6:00 pm for a Sailboat Regatta. Preschool and Elementary age children will be invited to race the sailboats they paint during the week. Of course, Ice Cream will be served during the races.

Our goal this year is to help children have a clear understanding of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also want to equip them with a tool to help them share the Good News with others. We will be using the ‘wordless book’ – each day they will learn the colors, symbols and scriptures that tell the Gospel story. We want them to understand what the Gospel message is, and to have verses and pictures from God’s Word planted and cemented into their hearts and minds.

Please return the registration form to the church office before June 1^st, 2008. Registration helps us know how many children to plan for and it allows us to ‘personalize’. Children like to know that we have been expecting them. It also allows our teachers to begin praying for their children by name. If your child is bringing friends, please pick up more registration forms.

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to be with your children. We hope and pray that this will be a special time as they learn the Good News.
