Robert Johnson

Senior Pastor

Robert graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy and earned both an MA and a ThM in Systematic and Historical Theology from Regent College in Vancouver, British Colombia. He served on the staff of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship from 1988-1995 in full-time ministry to college students at James Madison and Washington & Lee Universities. He has served as a Pastor at HPC since 1998.  Robert is married to Lynne and they have two adult children, Bethany and Daniel.
Greg Baney
Assistant Pastor of
Christian Growth & Connection
Greg comes to us from Greenville, SC where he was the manager of Administration for the City of Greenville and an intern of the Calvary Presbytery and Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church PCA. Greg has a Masters of Public Administration as well as a Masters from Covenant Theological Seminary. He has been involved in various ministerial roles for the past seventeen years, most recently serving as pulpit supply for various churches throughout the Upstate of South Carolina. Greg has a passion for scripture and assisting others in growing in their relationship with Christ. Greg met his best friend, ministry partner, and wife Tricia in St. Louis, MO. They have three children, William, James, and Lauren. Greg and Tricia love entertaining, kayaking, antiquing, tea rooms, traveling, exploring new local places and restaurants as well as spending time with new friends and old. 
Morgan Lusk
Associate Pastor
of Youth & Families

Morgan and his wife Jennifer are originally from Florida. They have been married since 2008 and have three boys: Nathaniel, Elijah and Isaac. Morgan received his B.A. from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and his MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. Morgan has been in Youth Ministry since 2001, and has served as Pastor of Youth and Families at Hixson Pres since 2008. Morgan loves working with youth and hopes to see the Lord bring many students in Hixson to saving faith in Jesus Christ. 
Josh Huff
Director of
Worship & Technology

Josh began serving at HPC during the summer of 2013. He and family moved here from IL where they served in various ministries for 10 years. Josh has a great love for music and leading God’s people in worship. Whether it is from the piano or guitar, Josh is passionate about teaching through music and engaging the heart and mind for the sake of God’s glory. You can listen to some of the music he has written and recorded on his album: Enriched Affections, or read about what he is up to on his blog which has the same title as his CD. Josh has been married to Moriah for 12 years and God has blessed them with three beautiful girls.
Alisa Gillis

Children's Ministries

Alisa has worked with children in a variety of settings for over 20 years. She has enjoyed teaching children in a classroom, dance studio, church, and camp setting. She has always considered her role as one of ministry. Alisa earned her B.S. In Biology from Mississippi College and her MEd from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Originally from Mississippi, what brought her to the Chattanooga area was a nearby summer camp and a desire to minister to children. Alisa lives in Hixson with her husband Jerry, daughter Mary Margaret, and bunnies Flower and Sherup. During free time, they enjoy camping, movies, travel, and being with friends and family.
Heather Whitfield
Office Administrator

 Heather has been with us almost 5 years. She had previously been an administrative assistant for a company called L.E. Myers. She was a stay at home mom for over 17 years raising her 3 beautiful daughters Rebekah, Hannah, and Faith. She is currently working on her Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies at Belhaven University. She is originally from Pennsylvania but now resides in Soddy Daisy with Clay, her husband of 24 years, their 3 girls, along with their horses, Rowdy and Cowboy, and the family dog, Jake. Heather loves spending time in God's word, being with family and friends, hiking and biking and fall weather!
