Primetimers - Senior Ministry

The Primetimers is our senior adult ministry. We are open to all adults. Our primary goal is Christian fellowship with a lot of fun thrown in for good measure. We have a monthly luncheon on the second Tuesday of each month with an informative speaker or musical entertainment.

To kick off our first luncheon in our beautiful new church, we are delighted to have the church kitchen crew: Debbie, Paula, & Shirl.

Our next luncheon will take place on September 19 at noon in the Fellowship Hall

If you were with us last year you will receive a call to make a reservation. Anyone else can click here to sign up for the lunch.

Our menu sounds yummy: Pot Roast with potatoes & gravy, carrots, broccoli salad, rolls, and strawberry cake with fresh strawberries! (all for just $6).

For our program we look forward to hearing the very personable news anchor from WRCB, David Carroll, who has written a new book "Volunteer Bama Dawg."

We also take day trips to a wide variety of interesting destinations. Kay Brown is our travel agent/tour guide and always plans for a delicious meal at a colorful restaurant such as the Cookie Jar, Miss Bobo’s Boarding House or the Southern Belle Riverboat.

Though many of our members are involved in church service projects individually, we are also involved as a group in helping with refreshments at Summer Kid’s Camp. At Christmas, we collect mittens, gloves and hats for the children at the Roanoke Center.

To be a part of this caring and supportive group, watch the Ridge Views Newsletter and the church bulletin for announcements and join us for lunch. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Yeager or Kay Payne through our church office at 423-875-0616.
