Kingdom Prayers

“Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done
On Earth as it is in Heaven”

A couple of years ago Pastor Robert encouraged us as a church to be praying “Kingdom Prayers.” As we come to this season of prayer for our church move, may these prayers kindle our hearts to be fervent and faithful in always asking for His wisdom, His will and His blessing to His glory:

  1. For bold and unashamed proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and faithful teaching of God’s Holy Word resulting in saving faith and the edification of the saints at HPC. (Ephesians 6:17-20Colossians 4:3,5,6)
  2. For HPC, as a family of believers, to grow in its commitment to following Christ and to be purposeful for His Kingdom. ( 2 Timothy 2:20-25)
  3. That God through His Holy Spirit and Word at work in the saints and ministries of HPC would use us as a body to illuminate His Gospel and Kingdom in our community and city. (Matthew 5:14-16)
  4. For unity as one body, in Christ—that the Holy Spirit would empower the saints at HPC to love one another in such a way that it brings honor and glory to the Father. (John 17:11,211 Peter 2:10-1116-17)
  5. That the saints in Christ at HPC would be able to withstand the schemes of Satan and the powers of darkness that would come against us, our homes, our church, and our community. (John 17:15Matthew 6:13Ephesians 6:12)
  6. For a generous out-pouring of God’s Holy Spirit in the lives of the saints in Christ at HPC and upon the ministries in which they serve. (Acts 4:31Acts 13:52)
  7. For God by His Spirit to enable those who have been called to serve the family of believers at HPC through acts of leadership: pastors elders, deacons, ministry leaders.
  8. God’s vision direction and provision for HPC as we plan for the future.
  9. For the missionaries throughout the world who are supported by the prayers and giving of HPC’s body.
  10. For members who, for many reasons, are unable to regularly worship together with the body of believers at HPC. ( military service, physical health).
  11. For the individual ministries that are taking place at HPC. For those who are serving in them and for any felt needs they might have.
  12. Any additional scripture, hymns, worship anthems, or readings that would reorient the heart and mind towards the truth of God’s love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and it is by His grace that we are invited to boldly come before the throne and present our requests. (weekly bulletins and inserts).
  13. For God to cultivate in the hearts of His children a hunger for spiritual depth and authentic communion with Himself resulting in holy living. (Ephesians 1:15-23Ephesians 3:14-20)

Lord, we want to be a community liberated by grace, living lives fully committed to Christ, and leading others to a life-transforming encounter with Him. In Christ.
