ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL - Sundays from 9:30am - 10:30am
Perhaps no ministry of HPC or any church offers as great a “return on investment” as Sunday School. By coming to church at 9:30 a.m., you not only get to participate in a biblically-based study, you have the opportunity to fellowship with other members of our church family. If you are looking for a way to both grow in your walk with Christ and get connected with more people in our church, make Sunday School a regular part of your family’s Sunday schedule. It only takes a small investment of your time, and it offers great rewards for your spiritual growth!
2018 Sunday School Classes
Minor Prophets (January 7-May 27)
What makes certain prophetic books minor? Are they less important? What messages did they share and to whom? What is their relevance and meaning for the church today? If you have ever asked any of these questions, join us for an in-depth exploration of this important genre of Biblical literature. Taught by Greg Baney in Room M-1.
The Sacraments (January 7-March 11)
Why are the Lord's supper and baptism called sacraments? Are there sacraments in the Old Testament? Why do we baptize babies? Why can't babies take communion? Will unbaptized believers go to heaven? Come learn about this most critical aspect of our church life, the proper administration of which is crucial to the true marks of the Church. Taught by Jeff Siren, Steve Hutchings, and Don Carver in Room M-2.
The Marks of a Healthy Church (January 7-April 8)
The church wasn't our idea-it was His. Jesus established the church as the natural arena for our spiritual growth and our health depends on it. In this series, Dr. Mark Dever and Dr. Jonathan Leeman survey the marks of a healthy church, where we are called to display God's glorious character in unity, holiness, and love. We can't do it alone. Each segment is approximately 25-30 minutes followed by a facilitated discussion led by Thomas DeMoss in the Conference Room.
