Robert Johnson
Robert came to Christ late in High School and got involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in college. After he graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy, he served on staff with InterVarsity from 1988-1995 working with college students at James Madison and Washington & Lee Universities. He left InterVarsity to go to seminary at Regent College in Vancouver, British Colombia where earned both an MA and a ThM in Systematic and Historical Theology. He has served as a Pastor at HPC since 1998, and as Senior Pastor since 2004. Robert is married to Lynne and they have two adult children who are both married, Bethany and Daniel, and three grandchildren. They enjoy walking, hiking, watching movies, reading, travel, time with family & friends and Packer football.Thad Davis
Thad Davis
Thad received his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Before being called as a Pastor, he served in the Marine Corps Band, and as an English Literature teacher, as a missionary in Germany. He currently serves in the Air National Guard as a chaplain. He is passionate about the captivating Good News of Jesus and the life of discipleship to which He calls us. He is married to Laura, his high school sweetheart, and together they have two children, Lilli and Koen. As a family they enjoy hiking, biking, camping, reading clever stories and exploring new corners of God's creation.Steven Edging
Steven Edging
Steven grew up in Hixson. He then went to the University of Tennessee where he graduated in 2000. He loves his Vols but He loves Jesus more. He graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2011. Steven is married to Brooke and together they have 4 children - Sarah, Samuel, Titus, and Ezra. They served 4.5 years in Uganda training pastors in theology and ministry. Steven loves to teach God's Word. He has been with HPC since 2018.

Daniel Tomyn
Daniel Tomyn
Daniel grew up in the Nashville area and moved to Soddy Daisy when he was fourteen. Music and church were a part of his life since childhood. As a young adult he studied Church Music at Bryan College. In 2007 he began his studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he would later receive his M.Div. in Christian Ministry. In 2008 he began leading worship at a local church near the seminary, and he has continued to lead worship in local churches ever since. In 2013, he married Nicole, and together they adopted their four children in 2017. As a family they enjoy board games, movies, hikes, their two dogs, and spending time with family and friends. Daniel joined the HPC staff as the Director of Music and Worship in 2021. He has a passion for congregational singing, writing theologically-rich songs for the church, and discipleship.Daniel Johnson
Daniel Johnson
Daniel was raised in Hixson, TN and attended Hixson High School in the greater Chattanooga area. He attended ETSU for his undergraduate degree, where he majored in Philosophy and minored in Anthropology. Daniel married his high school sweetheart, Hannah, in 2013. Hannah is a physical therapist. They now have three little boys and three dogs. Before accepting the call to be Director of Children and Youth at Westminster in Johnson City, Daniel worked as a surveyor with the Tennessee Valley Authority. Daniel is currently working on a Masters of Biblical Studies with the RTS Global campus. Daniel joined the HPC staff as the Director of Student Ministries in 2024.Alisa Gillis
Alisa Gillis
Alisa has worked with children in a variety of settings for over 20 years. She has enjoyed teaching children in a classroom, dance studio, church, and camp setting. She has always considered her role as one of ministry. Alisa earned her B.S. In Biology from Mississippi College and her MEd from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Originally from Mississippi, what brought her to the Chattanooga area was a nearby summer camp and a desire to minister to children. Alisa lives in Hixson with her husband Jerry, daughter Mary Margaret, and dog Baby. During free time, they enjoy camping, movies, travel, and being with friends and family.Wendi Schroyer
Wendi Schroyer
Wendi grew up in Southeast Missouri and Murfreesboro, TN. She served 13 years as Administrative Assistant at a previous church. Wendi married her husband, Larry in 2000. They enjoy traveling with their two Boston Terriers, Roxie and Precious. She enjoys camping, playing golf, reading books, and spending time with family and friends. Wendi has been with HPC since August 2019.
